Designing sophisticated pieces to help raise more money for more kids

Overview

The State Fair of Texas Youth Livestock Auction and Scholarship Program is a time-honored tradition celebrating and supporting urban and rural youth across Texas. The premiums earned in the Sale of Champions influence better participation in future State Fairs as exhibitors work to chase the premiums. In turn, more funds are raised to help support scholarships to livestock exhibitors and local area high school students. Cultivate works with the State Fair of Texas Philanthropy and Development department to create an elite event to raise money and meet fundraising goals while highlighting and recognizing donors.

No auction is complete without some buyers' paddles! These functional, easy to read, pieces allow the ring help to clearly see the buyer number and allows the buyer to keep track of their purchase(s) on the notes area on the back of the paddle.

The largest display we have to highlight donors. Each banner is 12 foot wide by 8 foot tall.

Sponsor seat stickers
The stickers are easily seen both from the front and back of the seats.

This highly anticipated annual event is made possible by Cultivates’ ability to coordinate all the moving marketing parts in a quick turn around time throughout the entire Auction weekend.

The ceremonial printed program is created after the livestock shows but before the auction to elevate the event for buyers and exhibitors. The piece becomes a celebratory token highlighting donors, providing detailed information on the youth, and displaying the auction order.

Results

The various marketing efforts for the event increased the auction proceeds by 20 percent, with approximately 44 new donors, setting a record of 1.9 million raised for Texas youth. Most news networks covered the auction, with pre-and post-coverage and six pre-interviews.
