Ambitious, Brave, Sensitive
In the 2012 Pixar Animation Studios movie, Brave, the protagonist, Princess Merida, must face the unknown and overcome obstacles. Laura lives her life with the same spirit Princess Merida showed throughout the movie.
A native of Costa Rica, Laura studied international trade in Costa Rica and then strategic marketing in Spain. Laura and her family moved to the United States from Costa Rica in 2011 when her husband’s job transferred them. Prior to moving, Laura worked as a retail buyer, where she traveled all over the world and advanced from the ground up.
Laura faced many challenges while adjusting to life in the United States and beginning a new career, but just like Princess Merida, she was brave enough to keep trying to reach her goals. Thankfully, she landed at Cultivate as the accounting coordinator. Laura’s primary duties are to handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
With her driven and goal-oriented personality, Laura helps keep crucial functions of Cultivate growing – accounting and finances. Her background in marketing and retail, and global experience give her a tenacious edge when it comes to handling Cultivate business. Her sweet smile contrasts a tenacious personality that hustles to get work done.
In her free time, Laura enjoys watching cooking shows and cooking traditional Costa Rican cuisine, like gallopinto. Laura believes it’s extremely important to exercise, so if she is not working out, she can be found at the park or pool with her two children.
